Gib knows a lot more about this but I think the earlier cars (100's) had different ECU voltage for at least some parts or functions so I'd be careful swapping ECU's about.Ĭan you try finding someone with vag com to double check the login issues?

No i am using vw 5051b as i work in a vw garage i suspect this audi is too early as the ecu will not login plus there is only one maesure block that can be read which is 0ĭo you know the part number for the m reg as i could check against mine regards Timbo1 Managed ok with vagcom on my 1997 and my brothers aat m reg. I have fitted the switch and loom to my friends audi 100 2.5 1993 does any one know if i require a latter ecu as i can not log in or read mvbs. I insure it for the accident damages mainly. I don't imagine that T4's are high on the theft list. It could void my insurance, but I guess they would have to prove it's been done by me.

Would turning the immobilizer off allow me to plug in the second hand ECU without the adaptation? If so, Is it easy to do? What software do I need? From web information It doesn't say that It has much more then the cheaper one, does it? Perhaps I should try the more expensive Super Vag K+Can PLUS model (blue unit). Are they not paired? As long as it gives me one of them, I ll be happy. I figured the Immob Pin and the ECU pin are the same anyway. I was able to change the Odometer ok, but didn't like finding the ECU Pins unfortunately.
I Worked my way through the list (on the cheaper unit). I assume you have done basic immobiliser diagnostics (check you can talk to both the immo and ECU, measure blocks for the immobiliser to check the keys are authed to the immo).

If you have a blue KKL usb-odb lead, then try vag k+ commander or vag eeprom tool, available here (you may need to register to see download links, and not be using an android tablet): I've just re-read your post and seen its a 2003 T4, which means it might be running a later immo version (Look up Immo2 and Immo3 on the rosstech site - most T4s I've seen use Immo2, but Immo3 was a became common on VAG stuff from about 2001ish). There are many fakes on ebay for £15 or so, but they cause my antivirus to go nuts, so I only use vagtacho on my dirty laptop. Vagtacho is a POS, but its the only thing I've used that talked to my T4 (1998 AET). Was on my phone before, hence the terse reply. I would like to know if any readers have had success with any software or hardware to interrogate ECU Pin Codes in the past. It's probably over 3K just to go with the dealer. I don't want to take the Van to the Dealer as they want to charge me $2500 just for a new ECU (that I don't need) plus labour. I purchased a Super VAG K+Can unit, but that didn't work. I just need to identify the Old ECU and New ECU 5 digit pins so I can do an adaptation in VCDS and bring the new ECU online. The issue is now the second hand ECU is blocked by the Immobilizer. I have since replaced the ECU with a second hand unit and I now have the voltages back. From the workshop manual, the fault fell back to the ECU. After many hrs I checked the wiring and found that I wasn't getting enough volts to either the Hall sender or TPS. I replaced both and still had the faults.
The faults indicated the Hall Sender and Throttle Position Sensor. The poor old girl wouldn't start so I purchased VCDS to diagnose the problem. It has been out of action for nearly 2 months now. I have a 2003 2.5L Petrol (AET engine) that won't start.

I am trying to find what Software or Hardware will help me identify the PIN code on my ECU/ECM.
